Pack 1592 Families,
Thanksgiving is a special time for many of us as we celebrate the blessings of the past year with a meal and time with those we love. Not everyone in our community is as fortunate, but we can help spread some cheer by giving our time to make a real difference.
We hope you’ll join us for our Annual Thanksgiving Meal Delivery, in partnership with Meals on Wheels & Salvation Army, serving Seniors in the Roseville community. This event counts as community service for those scouts needing to complete that requirement.
On Thanksgiving morning, we will stage our families at our assigned location; usually the larger parking lot at the Maidu Village Senior Apartments located at 101 Sterling Ct in Roseville at 11:00am.
Meanwhile, a small group of volunteers will arrive at the Fairgrounds at 10:30am to pick-up meals and transport them to our meeting place. Only the people signing up to transport meals need to go to the fairgrounds. Everyone else signup to deliver meals can just go directly to our assigned location.
The event should be wrapped-up by about 1PM.
Scouts should wear class ‘A’ uniforms, and the whole family is welcome to participate. If you have a cart or wagon to carry meals, that will be useful.
