Cub Scouts now renews memberships on an annual basis, depending on when you joined. There are no pro-rated partial years to pay, when you join you will renew one year later. The fees collected during renewal pay Scouting America National and Golden Empire Council Fees. Pack fees will be collected in person at pack/den meetings at the end of the calendar year.

You will start to receive emails from My Scouting 60 days out from your expiration. If you don’t “Opt-Out” from renewal, we will reach out to see if you need help renewing.
Please understand that we at the Pack Level have no control over the fees charged by Scouting America or Golden Empire Council. If you do not pay for renewal, you will be dropped from scouts!
Renewing is easy! Log in to the My Scouting website at https://my.scouting.org and follow the instructions.
If you are bridging to a Scouts BSA Troop, don’t worry, your membership is good for one year from renewal whether it is here in a Cub Scouts Pack, a Scouts BSA Troop or any other Scouting America Unit.
Pack 1592 Dues
We now have an online payment system setup and are using Cheddar Up to collect Pack Dues. These are $40 per scout, but are waived for first year scouts.

These fees are directly supporting Pack 1592. We do not receive anything from the National & Council renewal. These help fund awards, prizes, treats, etc. The leaders of Pack 1592 are 100% volunteer.
We had a lot of families requesting an easier way to pay, which is why we now offer this online payment platform.
If this fee presents a hardship for your family, please contact your Den Leader, Cubmaster or the Committee Chair. We don’t want any family to opt out of scouting due to an inability to pay.
Since this process is new, we have prepared a step by step guide navigating Scouting America’s renewal process. This was accurate the last time our leaders renewed:


Follow the process of paying and making any necessary digital signatures. You will be given the opportunity to Print/Download a receipt after paying.
If you decide for whatever reason you need to opt out of renewing due to leaving scouts, please take this step and click the opt-out button so that we know not to bother you further.
You will see that your scout is listed as “Submitted” and you don’t need to do anything else on this screen.
You have paid for Scouting America National and Golden Empire Council renewal fees. If Pack Fees need to be collected, the Pack Treasurer will let you know. We collect these fees at the end of the calendar year in Nov/Dec. When we had you pay by check in the old days, you would have paid all at once, but Scouting America doesn’t collect Pack Fees for us, and this is why we must collect separately.
