Pack 1592 Families,

It’s the holiday time and we know you’re getting excited about all the upcoming festivities! Come join us as we celebrate at our December Winter Pack Meeting with Gingerbread House Competition, Tuesday December 17th beginning at 6:30PM. We will be holding the meeting in the multi-purpose room of Blue Oaks Elementary.

  • Wear your Class A Uniform
  • Bring your completed Gingerbread House ready to be judged
  • Remember to have fun!

All participants in the gingerbread house competition must bring their gingerbread house completed, and ready to be judged. Scouts can use store bought gingerbread house kits, homemade baked gingerbread, or even get creative and build it out of graham crackers!

Categories for the gingerbread house competition are:

  • Most Creative
  • Most Scout Spirit
  • Most Funny
  • Most Traditional

See you at the meeting!

CHRISTMAS TREE PICKUP ENVELOPING

We have had a little bit of interest in Scouts participating in Christmas Tree Enveloping. This process is the beginning of Christmas Tree Pickup done by both Scouts BSA and Cub Scouts. The first stage is delivering envelopes to houses to advertise. The scouts earn money for their scouting activities based on participation.

If you wish to participate, you can check to see if a signup slot is available still. They are going fast. Be sure to mark down that you are with Pack 1592 so that we can get your supplies from their coordinator. Our pack does not run this activity.

OTHER THINGS TO REMEMBER:

  • SEE’S CANDY
If you are planning on purchasing See’s Candy this year, please consider supporting our chartering organization, Roseville Kiwanis Club, and the many youth activities they sponsor in the Roseville community. Their See’s Candy Holiday store is located at 1070 Pleasant Grove Blvd, Suite 150 in the Safeway Shopping Center. They are open daily from 10am-6pm until Dec 23.

  • BSA RENEWAL
If you have received a renewal notice from BSA, be sure to complete online renewal of your membership in Scouts! There is a handy guide on the Pack 1592 website and you can even just log in to your My Scouting account to see if you need to renew. We used to process this renewal in-person, but BSA has moved to an online process for National and Council fees. Every family will have a different renewal date depending on when they originally joined.

  • PACK FEES
Pack Fees are due for all scouts continuing from last year. $40 per scout made out to Pack 1592. Historically this was bundled with your BSA renewal, but due to the BSA renewal being online, we have been forced to collect Pack Fees separately. If these fees are a substantial financial burden for your family, please contact the committee or your den leader. We don’t want any Scout to be left out due to an inability to pay.

  • FACEBOOK
For those of you on Facebook, be sure to join our Pack 1592 Facebook Group and like our Cub Scout Pack 1592 Facebook Page. You can post/share pictures from Pack or Den events and connect with other parents and leaders.
